I used Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company's latest release (1 of 4) "Relax a Bit. Copics used for coloring. I cut out the tea bags and added string from a real tea bag.

I chose this paper and this paper for my inspiration.

Yep, EASTER! It's on it's way and what cuter cards than one like this adorable bunny amongst the lillies! These two stamps plus six sentiments. One of the beauty of MFP stamps is the ability to mix images and sentiments with other sets and you always get more than one or two sentiments! I love this Easter card and think it will go to my wonderful mother-in-law!

Shirley, wannabcre8tve, is the hostess this week. She challenges us to make a white on white card. You can color your image or add a colored ribbon.

I just had the pleasure of meeting a 96 year old neighbor. What a blessing! She has a house full of antiques and she had these wonderfully colored "stickers" that have to be at the very least 50 years old. They say there were made in Germany. I don't know what they used them for, but I'm making her a set of six all occasion cards using some of the fabulous stickers she gave me to thank her. She was so excited to "find someone who would actually get some use out of them". Guess how excited I am!

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and the fleur de lis Spellbinder and just added a simple sentiment. I know she's gonna love these!

Isn't this a fun set! A cute tea pot, cup and tea bag and a T monogram - plus 3 sentiments! I colored my imageswith Copics, cut out the tea bag and took a string from a real tea bag and stapled it to my image. . . cut a slit in the cup and now the tea is brewing!!!

The inside sentiment is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:
Women are like teabags. We don't know our true strength until we are in hot water!

I dropped Ms. Laynee off at Preschool and rushed home to make a card, albeit a simple one.

My image is colored with Copics and my sentiment is computer generated.

Shirley has challenged us all to make a card using a favorite sketch and dress it up with brads.

Well, I don't have a fav sketch except one that would be quick and easy to make. I've been trying to cut down on postage and so trying to keep less layers which is difficult for me. My two hearts are brads. This is an anniversary card for a couple who have been friends of mine for more years than I care to remember....hope they like it; hope you do too!

I chose this gorgeous card to case. Look at the coloring on that rose; such depth! Gorgeous.

I changed the rose to one from MFP called "Love Remains". Used different colors and rhinestones rather than pearls.

This is such a timely challenge! My friend is turning 60 the end of this month and she is truly the most immature gal I know (in a good way). After I took the photo, I realized she would be 60 and I think I need to add those numbers in the upper left hand corner. She'll get a kick out of this for sure...oh, she also loves to punch confetti for inside her cards, so this one is gonna get a lot of stars inside - like maybe 60!

My image is from Clear stamps and is colored with Bic Fine Point Markers. I used the EF and the star Spellbinder. I added "hats" and faces to my stars for more merriment. I loved the way Terri made the circles across the bottom of her card shown here.

My snowman is a digital from Sassy Cheryl's and is colored with Copics. My scallops are on the yellow band. A little faux stitching and some stamped "snowflakes" and it's done.

Wow, my friend - who I had the privilege of meeting, is today's Featured Stamper, Shirley (Shirt) a/k/a wannabcre8tive (doesn't her SCS name tell how creative she really is!)

I chose this awesome Valentine as my inspiration.

I changed the vintage postcard (clip art), went with a rectangle as opposed to her ovals and added some stickers and flowers. I hope this card does Shirley a little justice - what an awesome gallery that shows growth through the years - I am in awe!

Congrats, Shirt....enjoy your reign as the Featured Stamper. Gonna be a great gallery!

Everything Turquoise

I chose the Vera Bradley place mat for the colors...but, any one of the turquoise items was an inspiration.

This is a digital image by NanaVic and it is colored with Copics. I added Liquid Applique and red beads for my whipped cream topping. I also put a glaze on the cherries, dish and spoons.

Most of you probably know that Frances (StampOwl) lives in Australia! Well it’s a special day for all Aussies today as it is Australia Day! It is on this day in 1788 that the First Fleet arrived at Sydney Cove. This day is special to Australians, just like the 4th of July is special to those of us who live in the USA!

Anyway Frances couldn't let this day go past without having our challenge Aussie related in some way today Frances offers a few options … use the colors green and gold on your card; create a beach scene (Aussies love their beaches); use Australian Animals; Tongs (you wear on your feet btw) or anything else that you think would relate to Australia!.

I chose the Tazmania Devil tormenting Bugs Bunny...ya'll know Taz lives in Tazmania, an Australian island and state, so I figured he'd be a good image to use along with one of his quotes.

CCEE1203, Dragons

Welcome back to the CCEE Stampers Blog! This week Frances Byrne is back with another challenge for you all.

Chinese New Year is celebrated on January 23rd this year and it is the Year of the Dragon … so for this week's challenge either use a Dragon on your card or find out what animal relates to your birthday year in the Chinese Zodiac and create a card using that animal. This is my great-great niece, 4 year old Laynee. She absolutely loves horses and when she saw this cool set, she wanted to make a get well card for her great-grandmother (my sister). She was really proud of herself and picked out everything on her card by herself.
My first card was Laynee's Christmas card and that's where she got the idea. The sentiment actually says, "Happy Birthday, Cowgirl", but I masked off the Happy Birthday and added the Merry Christmas.
My last card is just another example of what you can do with this adorable, versatile set!

TLC360, CAS153, Cowgirls Rule

I used the sketch on CAS 153 and did the TLC360 challenge to use twine.

I made a lasso out of brown twine. Made my blocks by stamping the Colorbox inkpads and then cutting them out. Stamped the boots from a new set by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. called "Cowgirls Rule".

My little Laynee (4 yo) loves horses right now, so this set is perfect to make cards for her - however, babysitting her makes me get up early and home after 4:00 and sometimes no time to stamp!

FS258, Holstein is Queen

I chose this card to case.

What attracted me to this card was two things - the title as it is my son's birthday and I love how Linda used the Cuttlebug folder. Plus, that coloring is awesome.

I changed the image and used a different folder - also turned the card.

Combined Challenges

F4A99 - Today's challenge is to make a fickle card - one cold and warm at the same time. The inside of this card says:
"If you can't see the tree for the forest.....I (heart) you.
As you can see, it is winter in the forest, but there amongst the bare trees is a warm and beautiful heart tree! Happy Valentine Day!

Now, for WT357, add a sticker - you can see that I have.

And, last,but not least, Queen Judy, a/k/a jaydekay, well, this beautiful card inspired me!.

I have used a Holly Berry House Medallion. I cut 5 separate layers of the medallion to make it three dimensional. Lots of glitter and rhinestones and I have a "Bedazzled Medallion".

WT358, Wet Snow

Today's challenge is to make a card with something "wet". Well, this little Sliejke digital gal is sitting with her dog under an umbrells because of the "first snow" of the season.

She is also going to my sister who will have back surgery tomorrow.

The digital is colored with Copics. Used the Itty Bitty stamp from SU to watermark and emboss my "snow". Added some Spellbinder Flourishes, buttons and rhinestones for some interest.

Into an envie and off to the hospital we go!

It was so cool to have time today to stamp....I am in withdrawal running around taking care of things for my Sis with no time to play.

I had a very dear friend passed and needed a quick sympathy card as my life revolves around my sister who is in the hospital at this time. Jen's CAS style fit the bill to a tee!

My cardstock and wheat image is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company and the set is called Buffalo Spring.

Gotta run and get a haircut; back to comment as much as I can before leaving for the hospital.

My Night of Navy is lightly dabbed on my poinsettia and I'm hoping my blue is close enough to the Bashful Blue.

I used a cuttlebug folder on the left hand side and glitter on the poinsettia for dessert.

Wow, what a great site for inspiration!!! Today's inspiration is to come from Urban Art Loft - awesome choice!

I chose this print because I loved the layout of the print. I didn't have an iris that small, or I would have used it. I did, however, have this crocus from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. called Winter Crocus and I love how this turned out....hope you do too.

F4A96, Tri-fold cards

Today's challenge is to do a tri-fold card.

I made this card for my cousin's birthday - he's a woodsman and hunter (although these look like part of Santa's reindeer and I wouldn't want him shooting these!)

No stamping on this card. I used the pine tree Sizzix EF on the card base and added pine tree brads. Used a Darcee snowflake EF for the band and an EK Success deer punch I got on sale at Ross's of all places!!! I need to type something special to put on the inside and it will be ready to mail!

Started this at 8:00 a.m. and then had to leave to take my sis for a MRI. Just getting back to finishing up.

TLC356, Snow Globe

Got up at 3:30 since I have to babysit and had just enough time!

These snow globes are so easy to make (and can be decorated much better than this rushed one). Get a glass ornament, stamp on acetate and color, fold so it fits through the top of the ornament. Decorate a tuna can or something similar (a tomato paste can would make it stand higher, but ya gotta go with what you have!) You can use glitter or cotton to make the snow.

Mike and Renee Christmas 2011 and Anniversary

This card is for my friends, Mike and Renee's anniversary - don't know many people who got married and actually stayed married - see how special they are!

They are two of those special "Virginia" people I had to move away from, but Renee will always be a part of my life - she's one special gal!

The Inspiration Challenge was to check out Ten Thousand Galleries for inspiration.

As soon as I saw this cross, I immediately thought of my new Verve set - the cross in that set is close to this one. Wanda, a/k/a cullenwr, had posted this beauty which sent me right to the Verve website to purchase this awesome set. Thanks, Wanda!!! Perfect timing!

My background is Night of Navy and I used the snowflake cuttlebug on it....it looks black!

I chose this beauty.

I did not add a bow as I'm trying to cut down on postage.
Used a different ornament, added some stickers and gem stones for "snow". Peggy's is much more gorgeous than mine, but I still like it.

Today's challenge is to use stencils. I put a photo of my stencil next to my card. Now, I've had this stencil for probably 10 years and never used it - why? Who knows. I have a whole box full of stencils I never use - are we addicted or what!

I used chalk to stencil the points of the snowflakes and then pierced the "arms". I love how awesome this stencil looks....maybe I'll use it again!

This is a sneak peek of a set to be released next week called "New Pines" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. My trees are colored with chalks and then Icicle Stickles added for a snow effect. Hey, it also goes in the mail for one stamp!

Today's color challenge is Very Vanilla, Real Red and Wild Wasabi. Came as close as I could. Yesterday's CAS challenge was to use twine.

This is a digital image by Sliekje...she makes the cutest images! It is colored with Copics and has a little Glaze pen added to the red on the candy cane shoes and bell. The snowflake ef is by Darcee.

This is for my granddaughter - her birthday is the 29th, but her parents take her after Christmas on a shopping spree so she can get what she wants. I'm giving her both her Christmas and Birthday money so she can shop!

Today's challenge is to make a tag that can be mass reproduced. While I've only made one here (due to time), I definitely will make more... I love how it turned out and will be for very special people!

I used my Spellbinder Poinsettia and Fleur De Lis. The Fleur De Lis is sponged with Brilliance Galaxy Gold although it is not showing up so well in the photo. The leaves and flower are also sponged. A couple brads and a cord and there ya go.

Can you see that sneaky little Fox creeping up to the creek for a quick drink! I love, love, love how this image stamped and colored!!! Look at the depth of that forest!! I used very light blue paper to cut my Spellbinder Poinsettia and added some rhinestones. I think it turned out very pretty and a card I will be more than happy to send to someone special.

Another great MFP set! For the barn card, I took the 1 1/2" hex sign, stamped it with Stazon on Shrink Plastic and made it a charm to add to this awesome barn. It really does remind me of Lancaster, PA......a place I've visited often because my in-laws live there.

For the winter scene with the buggies - a very simple card! Anyone who has traveled to Lancaster or parts of Ohio has seen this familiar country scene. A simple people living a simple life travel to another member's home for their prayer meeting. After stamping and adding some embossing powder and liquid applique for snow, this simple card was done!

This is a sneak peek of a new set, What a Fox, to be released next week by Mark's Finest Papers. I love the depth of the trees as that fox creeps up on a cool stream for a quick drink! I used the sentiment from MFP's Cardinals in Winter. My Cuttlebug snowflakes were highlighted with Archival Brillance Pearlescent Ice Blue. It all yells out...."Baby, it's cold outside!"

Wow, what a unique technique - telescoping image!!!

I used Lovely as a Tree for my telescoping image. I really like how this turned out - lining things up in the Spellbinders was the hardest part for me. I used Autumn Flower Soft on my trees.

The CAS challenge is to use Chocolate, Ivory and Red. Perfect for my Autumn card. My red designer paper is from KandCompany.

I missed F4A87 to make a "flap fold" - which turned out to be a lot easier than I imagined.

My image is from Inkadinkadoo and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. The two-sided designer paper is from 7gypsies. I had bought a bunch of little white flowers at a yard sale and simply took my Prismacolor Goldenrod marker to change the pumpkin blossoms to what I thought was close to the right color.

My digital image is from Digital 2 for Tuesdays and is colored with Copics. The text is computer generated (wish I had centered it a little better!). I used a Cuttlebug EF and added rhinestones to the snowflakes.

I used gold embossing powder to stamp the leaf from MFP's "Autumn Glory" on vellum and colored them with Copics. Then, I sprayed the entire vellum with Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Had a twill autumn ribbon I had bought some time ago that I thought worked well with this challenge. The oval punches and the sentiment from "Autumn Glory" and I like how it turned out!

I watch my great-great niece, Laynee once a week. Once a month, it is her turn to do the snacks for pre-school. I have her come in and spend the night and we make her treats for the kids. Her teacher, who is a delight, is Ms. Prince. I thought Laynee should give her a treat and a Halloween card since her last treat day is October 20th....close enough for Halloween. I kept this plain 'cause I wanted the apples to show up on the designer paper. The images are by Meljen and are colored with Copics. Stickles and Crystal Effects added to sparkle. Laynee will get a kick out of this....hope Ms. Prince does too!

Today's challenge is to Stack up the Background. I used French Script and stamped it in Brilliance Pearlescent Ice Blue, then a Celestial background by Anita was stamped with Night of Navy and finally, I ran it through the snowflake EF by Darcee. I used a silver Sharpie to put a faux edge on my base, image and label.

Stampin B One Layer Card

The StampinB challenge issued by Lois a/k/a Clownmom this week was to do a one layer card any color but white.

This is a sneak peek of a new set to be released next week by MFP called Christmas in the Country. The blog hop will start next Tuesday when you'll see more of the wonderful sets.

I used gold embossing powder to make my card on MFP Seeds of Thyme cardstock. A little gold cording and a couple charms, along with a faux gold edge gave the card a finished look.

My image is a digital from Meljen and it is colored with Copics. I put some Glaze pen on my "cocoa", used the pumpkin EF on my background and added some leaf embellishments.

This image is a sneak peek from a MFP set called "Country Thanksgiving". It will be released during next week's blog hop. The sentiment actually says: "Count Your Blessings", but I only inked the Blessings so it would fit the sketch. I used Copics to color. Micro beads in the sunflower centers and a little glaze pen. Some scrap designer paper and a Cuttlebug border EF and I'm done.

More Mustard
Soft Suede (color on Gingerbread Men - close as I could get)
Tangerine Tango (came as close as I could)
Neutrals of White or Vanilla

This is a sneak peek of a MFP set called "Ginger Cookies" which will be released next week during the blog hop. I colored my image with copics, added some Liquid Pearls for the icing and some glaze pen on the bows. Used the texture EF and added just a single rhinestone for my glitz.

Today's challenge is to "Pencil It" .... use a regular pencil to color your image.

I was so fascinated that I took an ol' #2 and started coloring these pumpkins - mostly because they were on my desk and partly because I had a 7:00 a.m. dental appt. Well, I didn't make it in time, but it was almost finished, so I came home and finished it. I'm not real happy with it so am now going to do another, but I figured it qualified, so here it is.

This is my second card for today.

Today's FS is Eured99 - Dianne, enjoy your day as the FS - your gallery is delicious.

I chose this card to case.

I changed designer paper and the image and used a circle Spellbinder. Also, I have no ribbon. I made my sentiment by stamping a parcel part of the musical score in the MFP set "Musical Holiday"...then, I stamped the holly and cut it out. I free-handed the sentiment and background brown. I used a Glaze Pen on the leaves and a little on the horn to highlight it.

F4A84, Designer Paper Blocks

Today's challenge is to make color blocks with designer paper. I am proud to say this card (other than the base) is totally made with scraps. Now why do we need a challenge to use up our scraps? Silly us!

The pumpkins were colored with Copics and then the blender pen used to make the check marks. The sentiment and pumpkins are from MFP's "Thankful Mum and Pumpkins". I used a pumpkin Sizzix EF for the bottom block. I also used green twine to make the "vine" on the pumpkins.

Well, this one is for Laynee who is 4 years old. I thought she'd get a kick out of those witches' feet and I love the sentiments on the Debbie Mumm designer paper.

The little witches hat was a dollar stamp from Michael's.

Today's challenge is to make a card acknowledging something someone did for you in the last 5 days. My neighbor brought me a big bowl of "Friendship Soup". Never tasted it before, but trust me, it was delicious and saved me from cooking on a night I was very tired. She is such a sweetheart. So, this card is for Peg!

The image is from Mark's Finest Papers and colored with Bic Fine Point Markers. I scored around the main layer and added some brads and my CAS acknowledgement was done! Now to deliver it.

WT341, Paperbag Frankie

Today's challenge is to use a lunch bag.

I used a Spellbinder and am using both the positive and negative cuts. I crumpled my bag and used Marvy Heritage Pond Green Ink to distress it.

Colored Frankie from "Boo to You" by MFP with Copics, added some teeny brads I had laying on my desk and some designer paper from Debbie Mumm (Joanne Fabrics) and this came together pretty quickly - that is once I figured out what I wanted to do! I also added a couple Cuttlebug bats.

Today's color challenge is Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin and Olive - check, check and check! Dessert Option is leaves - check!

My image is colored with Copics. I used the cloud template to make turquoise clouds. Punched out a couple leaves and hit them with tangerine and Moss Colorbox inks. Background paper is from Debbie Mumm.

I used Basic Grey's Indian Summer for my background and spellbinders for my sentiment by Inkadinkadoo.

The leaves were cut out from Spellbinders and then gold flecks added.

I had to leave to go to the dentist this morning and only had this partly done - I finished it when I got home by making more flowers (see the awesome tutorial here.
