CC1402, Bordered Sentiment

This week, Sabrina wants us to do a bordered sentiment.  There is a tutorial on splitcoaststampers.  It's a CAS card - although I wanted the blue background to bring out the peacock better - and it's a pretty simple, yet very effective technique.

My peacock is from Impression Obsession and is colored with Copics.  The sentiment is an old Stampin Up stamp.  Some paper piercing and rhinestones and I'm done.  This is going to my son and daughter-in-law for their anniversary.  Verse inside says:

Holding Hands is a promise to one another that, for just a moment, the two of you don't have to face the world alone.  Isn't that great...I love it.

Come join us and show us your bordered card by linking back to the CCEE Stamper Blog.  Also, remember to add CCEE1402 to  your splitcoaststampers keywords!

Have fun with it...have a great day!

That peacock stamp is gorgeous! It reminds me so much of a little tile tray my mother had, which was three ceramic tiles with a peacock along the length. It works well with the bordered sentiment and your great piercing and gems What a lovely anniversary card. I love your inside verse too - thanks for sharing it.

That peacock was pretty on the card you made the other day, and it's still gorgeous on this one. The three sections of the stamp add some more texture to this lovely (almost) one-layer card.
